Our product is a module-based power generation system powered by excess heat onboard ships. The thermal energy is converted into 100% environmentally friendly electricity. 

As a market leader in advanced fully autonomous Organic Rankine Cycle technologies for more than 10 years, we provide a unique technical solution called HeatPower for shipyards and owners around the Globe. Due to the large uptake of interest from the maritime market, we are currently looking for a Global Marine Sales Engineer for our Marine segment to join our team in Stockholm! 

 

Your main tasks and areas of responsibilities: 

As a Global Marine Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the Maritime sales together with a team of dedicated colleagues.

With your marine expertise and customer-oriented approach you help the customer, together with the local agent or independently, successfully compose the right application solution based on their ship system design, as well as providing a thorough technical understanding of our product range. Calculate and advise customers to get maximum return on investment from their investment both commercially and environmentally based upon the ships operational profile and usage. 

In this role, you will serve as the customers’ primary point of contact at Climeon, you will play a crucial role in the marine sales team and work in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders:

 

  • To build a strong sales pipeline and grow lead generation through active promotion of segment related products for shipyards and owners, through direct sales and/or in cooperation with our local sales representative
  • Identify target projects and achieve defined order intake in the defined region  
  •  Lead and manage project opportunities
  •  Support the establishment of project structure (consortium partner and key suppliers) in coordination with internal stakeholders. Negotiate contracts to reduce risks and find the right solution within the framework set 
  •  Develop and document the sales project tactics and activities 
  •  Drive development to achieve our order intake goals, plans and activities within the business segment 
  •  Collect and communicate market intelligence, competitors’ activities, project opportunities, etc
  •  Develop an excellent understanding of the market, its customers, and business opportunities in the area of responsibility
  •  Travel includes approximately 60-100 days/year 

Who you are: 

For you to enjoy this position we believe that you are an openminded and flexible person who enjoys networking and building relationships and working in a small size team. You have a technical marine background and might have worked within Machinery, Ship-design, – or have similar background either as a supplier, shipyard work or shipowner, preferably involving work related to e.g. machinery systems, refrigeration systems, absorption chillers or waste heat recovery products. You approach the sales process with a mindset of doing business and helping our customer to succeed with their targets.   

 

Other criteria: 

  •  Minimum of 5 years in Marine industry 
  •  Experience of Value Based sales processes. 
  •  Sales strategy, business development, and marketing 
  •  You are used to working with stakeholders in large companies spread world-wide. 
  •  You are able to support our local sales agencies with customer meetings and presentations, business strategies and contract negotiations
  •  You are assertive and motivated with the ability to work independently as well as in a team 
  •  An engineering degree is desired but not essential, together with a commercial background
  •  You are service oriented team player with a flexible mindset 
  •  English language (spoken and written) knowledge of Swedish and/or other languages is an advantage, but not required. 
  •  Our core-team is stationed in Stockholm (Kista)
