About the Role
In the role as Payment Specialist, you play a critical role with the primary responsibility of supporting the Scheme Managers in various working groups, support groups, and task forces. You will be co-chairing the task force responsible for implementation guidelines and assist in the development of the NPC Schemes as well as supporting the Scheme Managers in the creation of decision material for the Scheme Management Committee. Further you will assist in the production of NPC documents, such as new or updated implementation guidelines, clarification papers, additional rules, and payments rules.

Qualifications and Personal Qualities

  • A minimum of a few years of experience in the field of interbank payments
  • Solid knowledge of payment standards/formats, including ISO20022, SEPA, and a basic understanding of proprietary formats used in Norway (NO), Denmark (DK), and Sweden (SE), as well as API
  • Experience in payments processing and services in the Nordics, including familiarity with SWIFT services
  • Preferred experience in working with common issues faced by banks, with a cooperative approach
  • Capability to establish and maintain the structure and format required for the work
  • Excellent communication skills in English and a Nordic language, both verbally and in writing
  • Possession of a relevant academic degree
  • Ability to take on tasks and demonstrate progress, even when dealing with complex issues and multiple stakeholders
  • Highly cooperative, responsive, and diplomatic, while maintaining integrity
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Analytical thinking and ability to work quickly
  • Genuine passion for the field of payments
